Intratech’s Smart 3DPDF exporter creates 3D PDFs for the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) and shipbuilding industries. Smart 3D PDF prevents drawing errors and end users misreading the drawings. PDFs of 3D models with dimensions and labels can be read using the free viewer, Adobe Reader when using Intratech software to convert them to PDFs. The ability to view the hierarchy, drawing properties as well as static and dynamic dimensions allows even inexperienced workers to intuitively understand accurate installation information.
Differences between existing 3D PDF softwares
Suitable for EPC Piping models
Most existing 3D PDF generation software generates 3D PDFs for mechanical design and construction but it is not suitable for piping models.
ISO14739-1 ISO PRC Standard
Intratech’s Smart 3D PDF SDK supports PMI for 3D shape and attribute information as well as dimension and label information based on the ISO14739-1 ISO PRC Standard.
Sufficient PMI (Dimensions & Labels)
3D PDFs generated by CAD systems, such as Intergraph and AVEVA, do not convert dimension and label information, and do not naturally support PMI (Product Manufacturing Information) objects.
DIMPORTs
Dynamic grids are implemented in 3D PDFs, and DIMPORTs can be inserted into piping items so that pipe dimensions and distances are easily identified.
